Entry #10: Going back to my big "WHY"

Updated: Apr 18, 2020

Happy New Year!

You might seem to be surprised why it is such my greeting. Firstly, this is my first post for the year and secondly, with the current situation happening right now, it has seemed to reset everyone's perspective like every start of a year. The current pandemic that the world is currently experiencing has resulted in the loss of lives and livelihood. The world now has a "new normal" as the majority of workers now work from home. More than ever, the importance of skill sets needed for online work such as being a freelancer or starting an online business is highlighted. This has prompted me to go back to writing and share more of my personal experiences in finding ways on how to make money online.

Previously, I have shared the challenges ShopViviLulu has encountered in its inception primarily on which market to concentrate. For the past months, I have decided to concentrate our efforts in the United States which is bearing results. The graph report that I have shared is our sales from October 1, 2019 to April 10, 2020. I know some will say that this is not much but I am already happy as I have read in some forums wherein dropshipping owners giving up on their online store for not selling even one item in the 6 months existence of their store. There are still a lot of things I have not done to improve and make ShopViviLulu be a better online store. One room for improvement is to initiate an SEO strategy. I have made attempts to study SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and joined a learning community. In fact, a technical site audit has already been conducted by one member of the community. Recommendations have been made in the report which I intend to work on in the coming days. I am hoping that through this strategy, it will improve the sales of ShopViviLulu.

Now going back to my big WHY which is to help myself earn an additional income online and to help others as well by sharing my personal experience, I have googled a list of websites that offers opportunities to earn online especially for freelancers;

1. Upwork

2. Fiverr

3. Toptal

11. Writer Access

12. TaskRabbit

13. Skyword

14. Designhill
